Your Complete Source for the Nonwoven Industry

We represent primarily European-based, Nonwoven, Synthetic Fiber, and Perforating machinery and equipment manufacturers. We also serve the NAFTA countries and maintain a spare parts inventory for many of the companies we represent and offer an extensive spare parts sourcing program for industry related European-made equipment.

Bonding Ovens

A Bonding Oven is normally a horizontal design with multiple heated zones where each heating zone has its own gas burner and circulating fan so each zone can have different air speeds and temperature control if needed. There is also a cooling zone following the heated zones where air is passed thru the fibrous structure to cool it down prior to the next step in the process. However, in some cases the oven can also be vertically arranged. The horizontal design has two continuous conveyor belts (top & bottom) in order to support the fibrous web structure and set the height or thickness of the product that is required while passing thru the complete system. Once the pre-set temperature reaches the melting point of the low melting of bi-component fibers that have been blended homogeneously into the structure with the standard fibers, they melt and attach the individual fibers together, thus bonding the fibrous web structure to give integrity to the high-loft product.
