Leading Polymer Process Technology
Having acquired the Zimmer polymer process technology from Air Liquide in early 2015, Technip Zimmer GmbH was formed under the process technologies portfolio of the French group Technip. The Zimmer® name has a deep history in polymer process technology. For more than 60 years, many leading polymer producers around the world have used proven Zimmer polymerization technology to manufacture high quality PET (polyester), PA (nylon) and engineering resins. Maintaining a base in Frankfurt, Germany where Zimmer was originally founded, Technip Zimmer process experts are available to assist with existing Zimmer plants as well as your needs for new capacity. Technip Zimmer also operates a pilot facility in Frankfurt, where R&D work is performed on general plant concepts, process efficiency, capacity adaption and final product recipes. In addition, Technip Zimmer is investing in sustainable technologies such as bio polymers, new catalysts and recycling technologies.
