TPA3000 Tipping Paper Applicator MK2

   -This innovative single roller system consistently applies glue to the tipping paper.

Application of adhesive is by a single roller with a pattern of precision cell machined into the surface. A doctoring (control) system ensures an even and consistent application. The roller rotates in an enclosed tank, which contains a controlled level of adhesive; therefore water loss and contamination are greatly reduced. A pick up disc is attached to one end of the roller, which collects a volume of adhesive from the bottom of the tank. A primary doctor blade regulates this volume of adhesive. The remaining adhesive is transferred from the pick-up disc into the secondary doctor blade assembly. The adhesive is spread evenly over the source of the roller, filling the pattern of individual cells. Contact between the tipping paper and the roller is maintained using a transfer roller, ensuring the consistent and efficient transfer of adhesive from the roller cells to the paper substrate regardless of variations in tension across the web.
