SMBK designs and manufactures specialized winding and slitting machinery for the film, paper, rubber and nonwoven industries. Originally founded in 1991, SMBK has grown into a world-renown supplier of special machinery focusing on winding and slitting technology.
SMBK offers innovative solutions in the field of winding and slitting. SMBK winders are used for winding large jumbo rolls with various flying splice technologies, for automatically doffing short contractor rolls with short cycle times, and for continuous, non-stop winding of tension-sensitive materials.
SMBK has its own mechanical and electrical engineering departments, metalworking and machine shops, assembly areas, and service department. The large assembly area can assemble and commission machines up to 400 ft. long.
