In-Line with Fi-Tech – Spring 2019
Todd Bassett
Welcome to the spring issue of In-Line with FiTech. We have a busy spring ahead of us with some important shows on the horizon for the Nonwovens, Textiles and Fiber Industries. In late March, we will be in sunny Miami Beach for the IDEA 2019 Show. This show provides a meeting point for the complete Nonwovens Industry supply chain with nearly 500 exhibitors and over 7,000 visitors.
In May, Ian Mills and I will be travelling to the Techtextil Show in Frankfurt to support our principals exhibiting at this important international trade show for the Technical Textile Industry. ITMA 2019 is one of the most important shows worldwide for the Textile and Synthetic Fiber Industries and will be taking place in Barcelona, June 20-26. While Fi-Tech will not have a booth at this show, we are sending 8 salesmen from our US and Mexico offices to support our principals exhibiting at the show, and the strong contingent of customers expected to be attending the show from our US and Mexico customer base. Inside are more details on these important shows and our principals who will be exhibiting.
We would like to welcome Charles Jolly to the FiTech team. He joined us in February as Field Service Technician in support of our Mayer & Cie product line and will work closely with Darrell Smith. Charles has many years of experience as a Service Technician in the Circular Knitting Loom Industry.
On January 1, Fi-Tech began representing Hansa Mixer of Bremen, Germany. We look forward to working together with Hansa Mixer to promote their line of foam generators. Fi-Tech will be responsible for industrial mixing and foam generation activities in primarily the nonwoven, indoor/outdoor carpet, home furnishings, textiles and roofing/construction products markets.
We hope you enjoy this issue of In-Line with Fi-Tech and look forward to seeing you at one of the coming exhibitions!
